Anyone who’s visited Los Angeles knows it’s jam-packed with fascinating characters and some of the most notorious traffic in the country. And what’s an ordinary driver like you and me to do while stuck in grueling bumper-to-bumper congestion? Take in the spectacle of iconic cars and the captivating individuals driving them, of course. In a city where grabbing attention is a way of life, it’s no surprise that many Angelenos turn their vehicles into their very own mobile billboards. And this group is at the top of its game when it comes to turning heads on the street and cruising the city in some of the most iconic cars of LA.

Update – November 2024:

Not two months after this blog was originally published, we have received sad reports that Dennis Woodruff, one of the featured personalities in this particular blog, has passed away. Details are still unclear, but his passing was confirmed by his friend and creative collaborator Ramzi Abed who claims the actor was found unresponsive in his bed. Though the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner supported that they responded to a death at Woodruff’s place of residence in October, they refrained from providing further details while they continued to attempt to contact his next of kin. While we await further details, for now we’ll simply say, “Thank you for making LA traffic more bearable, Mr. Woodruff.”

Dennis Woodruff is certainly a noteworthy figure in the local Los Angeles scene due to his extreme and unconventional approach to self-promotion. Woodruff has transformed his cars into bold moving resumes, showcasing what he’s all about and why you’d be crazy not to hire him! Struggling to land some real industry work, Dennis is eager to be taken seriously in the film industry. He claims to be a famous actor, director, and filmmaker who has produced more movies than the top Hollywood names. He also sells his low-budget films from the trunk of his iconic cars. Like somewhat of an offbeat scavenger hunt, getting a glimpse of Woodruff is a real treat. You never know, you could be sighting the next big name in Hollywood.

JoJo Siwa really knows how to turn heads.

A spectacle, to say the least, former Dance Moms star, musician, and social media sensation Jojo Siwa can be spotted around town sporting a vehicle wrapped solely in images of her likeness. And yes, she actually drives it! Jojo is known for being a big ball of sparkle and glitz but is now embracing a bold new image with her recent transformation into a self-proclaimed bad girl. She’s leaving no stone unturned to ensure her new brand is a direct reflection of her evolving identity. Her face-covered ride is just one of many ways she’s making sure everyone notices. After all, she IS the first of her generation to make this extreme of a switch...or so she says.

Peggy Noland’s fur on four wheels.

Artist and fashion designer Peggy Noland is the queen of texture when it comes to her show-stopping art pieces. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Noland has pushed the boundaries of traditional displays of art. Instead of requiring visitors to enter her studio or shop, she brought her vibrant installations to the streets, particularly along the busy Sunset Boulevard. Though these immersive shops are no longer around, Peggy has found other ways to create larger-than-life art displays.

In 2019, Noland took her innovative approach further by turning ordinary cars into stunning art pieces. Once mundane vehicles underwent dramatic transformations to often match- the lively personalities of their owners. Through her YouTube series, “Peggy’s Cartoon-Up,” she showcased these metamorphoses, expanding the reach of her art and providing a visual feat on wheels for her audience. We haven’t heard much buzz about Peggy in recent years, but who knows, you just may find yourself driving alongside a fuzzy Ferrarri one of these days.

So what do you think? Would you drive one of these wild and crazy cars around town? If so, what’s holding you back?
