Best Breweries in Valencia and Santa Clarita

Valencia and Santa Clarita offer plenty of great breweries for you to sip on a refreshing beer and dig into some grub. (The area also contains numerous fantastic restaurants as well, if you are so inclined). However, bear in mind that not all of the breweries on this list are fully open for outdoor dining. But when the time comes, they will be ready with open arms to welcome regulars and newcomers alike. Whether you are in the mood for a juicy Hazy IPA, a crisp refreshing lager, or a dark and tormented chocolate porter, this list has you covered. Without further ado, here’s our list of the best breweries in Valencia and Santa Clarita (in no particular order).

Wolf Creek Brewery

Wolf Creek Brewery has been serving beers and delicious food since 1997. On tap are numerous enticing brews, including flagships such as Howlin’ Hefeweizen (notes of banana, clove, and apricot), BBB (gold-medal-winning Belgian-Style Tripel crafted with Belgian malt and Belgian candy syrup), and the Hole Mole Stout (a rich Imperial Stout made with cinnamon and cacao for an intense chocolate flavor profile). In addition, beer aficionados can try multiple other craft beers bottled from other craft breweries.

Pocock Brewing

This family-run brewery lives by a simple motto: “Embrace Life. Drink Good Beer.” Since 2013 Pocock has been helping locals do exactly that. Their arsenal of brews is all over the spectrum, with yummy options such as Emma’s Clown Car (a banana cream pie hefeweizen), Abominable (an imperial tart smoothie with blueberry, raspberry, cherry, graham cracker, marshmallow, and vanilla), and Spencer’s Awkward Hug (an imperial milk stout aged with Raspberry and Vanilla). Though Pocock doesn’t serve much in the way of food, they do offer popcorn, pretzels, and peanuts — and a food truck typically makes an appearance Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Telco Brewing

Telco Brewing is very new to the brewing world (2021 will mark 3 years in business!). “Two telephone company dudes” founded this microbrewery, as their story and name indicate. The branding and naming of the beers reflect the telephone origin story as well, which are almost all allusions to the telephone wire industry. The duo wanted to brew craft beer and share it with family, friends, and the community. Their lineup features six core beers (below) and other seasonal brews & hard seltzers.

Brewery Draconum

The family-owned and operated Draconum is led by a brother & sister duo. 20 taps are ripe for the tasting at this popular brewpub, with an emphasis on house brews. There’s also a small rotation of guest beers and a collection of wines to sip on.

In addition, this brewery features the delectable creations of award-winning local Chef Andres Moya. Chef Andres infuses many dishes with Draconum brews to create a unique flavor profile. Some of their most appealing beers include Peachland Estates (a Belgian Pale Ale infused with organic white peaches), Birthday Suit (a brut IPA fermented with dark cherry puree), and Red Astaire (an imperial red). Feast on delicious starters such as loaded totchos (tater tots filled with Saison beer cheese & other goodies), healthy salads, and tasty burgers, sandwiches, and other entrees. Plus, their beer garden offers plenty to keep you busy, with a two-lane bocce ball court, cornhole, and an array of board games.

Their Santa Clarita outpost includes 27 Dude brews on tap, plus rotating wine and cider selections.
