We are witnessing history in the making with this whole pandemic! I never thought we would EVER hear Disneyland (of all places) is closed. I never imagined sneezing in public would receive such glares or that small businesses would be as severely affected as they have been in the last few months. I never thought I would be baking (yes people, Ovsanna bakes cookies now). A quarantine really changes things and the perspective we have on nearly everything. Below is a shortlist of suggestions for you to do in your quaran-TIME.
Board Games
Anything related to games has me hooked because I am VERY competitive. One game I was introduced to during quarantine is Catan. Catan is a board game created by Klau Teuber where players are settlers that need to develop holdings while acquiring resources. The first person to 10 points wins. Trust me, it’s not as easy as it sounds! Strategy and dice rolling play a huge factor. This is the perfect game to play with family and friends because you’re all together enjoying each other’s company while scratching your competitive itch.
*if this game involved money, 100% I would not go home until I won all of it back – super addicting*

Reading
Browsing social media comments and posts are not considered reading. There are many benefits to reading at least 20 minutes a day. Here’s a few:
- Intellectual Stimulation: Reading keeps the brain active. It is an exercise for the brain to maintain strength and health.
- Vocabulary Expansion: Regular reading helps you be articulate and well-spoken. It also demonstrates self-confidence and helps you feel less intimidated when speaking to your superiors.
- Improve Focus and Concentration: Reading a book forces you to focus on one specific task. You are not distracted by other tasks or attempting to multitask.
