JohnHart Real Estate has a few simple tips to keep in mind if you’re a first time home buyer or selling your home.
Tips On Selling Your Home
- Make your home look inviting on the outside so buyers want to go inside. This is known as “curb appeal”.
- Fresh smell. Think about it, would you want to live in a stinky house? Neither does a potential buyer. Smoke and pet smells may deter a buyer from taking another look at your property.
- Put away clutter, food, dishes, and overall cleanliness. One of the worst things a seller can do is poor “staging”. Make your buyers want to live in your house by showing it clean and clutter free.
- Too much furniture? Free up space and make the rooms in your home look larger by removing furniture and creating a moving flow. Buyers want to imagine your home as their own.
Tips On Buying Your First Home
- Get a good real estate agent. At JohnHart we believe that our client’s satisfaction should be of the utmost importance. For this reason we employ an “invitation system”, where by agents are handpicked and invited to join, instead of just taking anyone with a license. It is because of our invitation system that we can guarantee that you are in good hands with any one of our real estate agents or brokers. Check out our team here!
- Get a home inspection.
- Make sure you’re pre-approved before looking at homes so you can quickly make an offer when you find something you like and you’ll know what your spending range will be.
