Built in 1976, the Glendale Galleria which boasts 1,600,000 square feet is moving along rapidly with their construction. Caruso’s entrance into the centralized city of Glendale has the Americana putting up a challenge for Glendale Associates to renovate and modernize the popular mall.With its popularity dating back to 1983 when Panda Express chose this as their first location and traveling to 2011 when Apple Inc decided one of their first two locations in the world would be housed here. Not to mention, Target opened their first 3 story location in the United States.
The Galleria will undergo renovations such as new stone and tile floors, replacing the elevators, moving the escalators, installing new railings and mounting a dramatic chandelier. There will also be a new outdoor dining area located in the Central Ave Plaza area. Last but not least, the grand opening of Bloomingdale’s will grace us with their presence in the old Mervyn’s quarter.
We can go on for days with the facts, renovations and details to prove why this mall has attracted many affluent people to the neighborhood along with staying above average in cost of living. Glendale is a neighborhood which has diverse culture and celebrity flocking to the area for a reason. Many enjoy the lifestyle, central locale and school district of the city but for Glendale homeowners, this is home and it continues to rise.
