Answer: The individual purchasing the President’s next door house.
There was a new listing on the market by 36 year owners Bill and Jacky Grimsaw, the Presidents former neighbors. The three story, 6,000 square foot home was put on the market in September and recently sold for $1.4 million. The original listing price for the Grimsaw’s home was $1.85 million.
Stained glass windows, a porch and an updated first floor are some of the features of the property. The 1900’s built home also has a back house built by the former owners, which sits on 0.3 acres. Reports state that the new owner is going to renovate the home to better suit them. Other then this bit of information, the new owners chose not to share their identity.
President Obama had purchased his Greenwood Ave. home in 2005. The home had a listing price of $1.95 and was purchased for $1.65 million.
