Going GREEN can be expensive.  At a time where the economy is not doing so well, not too many people are looking forward to any type of house improvement, let alone going green. The ways one can go green without breaking the bank are limited.

  • CFL bulb prices are more than incandescent bulbs and LED bulbs cost more than the CFL bulbs about 40 times more, but lasts 10 times longer than a CFL and 60 times more than an incandescent.
  • Research shows if our country’s recessed lights were converted to LED we would save a lot of energy, enough energy that would equal to the same amount of energy to that of 13 large power plants.
