Real Estate Tip: Marketing Your Listing

We all know that the most ‘ancient’ and common way to market a property is by putting up a for sale sign right on the lawn. This used to work really well because people were out and about a lot more and were seeing your sign. Now-a-days majority of the people are attached to a computer for over 8hrs a day and really don’t tend to pay attention to street signs at the end of the day.

Here are a few modern tips to help you market your listing more effectively and ultimately obtain multiple offers!

– MLS is the now the number one form of marketing a listing. This works for most people, but remember, not all buyers have MLS access.

– Doing an open house as many times as you can!  Open houses provide a relaxed and social setting for prospective buyers to view your listing without feeling like they are going to be harassed by a “used car salesman”!

– Social Media is another great way to get your listing out there! Post information about your listing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. Make sure you get your friends and family help out with spreading the posts by “liking” or “sharing” them!

– Creating a listing specific website. People can visit your website to get additional information and even a video tour of the property!

– Sending out postcards and flyers will not only help draw attention to your current listing, but this will also help YOU gain attention for future deals!

-Talk about it! Be enthusiastic about your listing and tell people about the new listing you got. Talk to whoever will listen and see how quickly the word will spread!

Happy Marketing & Much Success!
