Maybe Jennifer and Marc are over but Lopez has found a new love.
Jennifer Lopez has ended her seven year marriage to Marc Anthony but is ready to make a new commitment. The new ‘American Idol’ judge is reportedly buying a new home located in the East End of the Hamptons.
As the news broke that the couple was getting divorced, those interested in real estate, wondered when their 17,000 square foot mansion the pop star couple shared would hit the Hidden Hills real estate market. Apparently Lopez isn’t waiting for it to sell before she buys a new home which financially she can do. Lopez has signed for her second season on ‘American Idol’ and has some movies in the works.
The new home was built in 2009 and measures around 14,000 square feet which I guess is barely enough room for her and two kids! If you hear sarcasm in that then your hearing is in good shape.
The expansive three-story John Laffrey design mansion features 7 bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms. There are stunning panoramic water views of Mecox Bay and shares a dock with a nearby property once owned by the late actor Cliff Robertson. There’s a pool pavilion with a separate spa on the 2-acre property.
As you enter the home you come to a rotunda style foyer and a curved staircase. There are Venetian plaster walls, a library with white oak-paneling and a media room.
The kitchen has modern appliances and marble counters. The dining room is octagon-shaped, and there custom china cabinets. There are two living rooms with French doors, master suite with 2 exterior decks, and 4 additional en-suite bedrooms.
The lower level contains a theater, gym, sauna, wine room and playroom, perfect for the twins.
Lopez is going to fork out $18 million for the rural beach cottage.
