We’re Expecting… another location!!!
I wanted to personally pen a statement to thank all of you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence, which has allowed us to open our 6th office in Valencia!! I want to make it abundantly clear that without you all, we would not be where we are today. As I’ve said many times before, we are only as strong as our weakest link, so our links must be made of steel to have grown so much in so little time! Give yourselves a pat on the back and take pride, knowing that your contributions have led us to this amazing level of success. You are all rock stars and every new office we open is a tribute to your commitment to excellence and superior performance quality.
I wanted to begin the email in the “birth” announcement style because expanding a business, in many ways, parallels expanding a family. There is much emotion involved when it comes to expansion, from excitement, to apprehension and fear, to reward — the typical growing pains. I would like to examine these emotions individually. Of course there is excitement: excitement over a new space, new employees and agents, new clients, and an influx of ideas and opportunities. The anticipation of these things leads to the next two emotions I referenced: apprehension and fear. This is when most people start getting nervous about an expansion. What should we expect? Will it be successful? Did we make the right decision, in the right location, at the right time? Will we be able to capture the market again and compete with and beat the competition? Will we be spread too thin and still have as much access to support and the team identity we have spent so much time building? And on a more personal level: will I be successful? Will I be replaced by someone younger, faster, and better than me? Then there is the last emotion, reward/satisfaction: Watching the development of your seedling ideas into a full-fledged business, where pen on paper meets actual, tangible 3D success in space and time. I have to tell you that I have always dreamed of these offices opening and knew they were a part of our business plan for a while, but seeing it actually happen is a surreal experience – so I can only imagine what the feelings are like for all of you.
Let me assure you, though we are growing at a competitive pace, we are also growing our business responsibly. We have done the research to make sure we are expanding in regions that have a need that we can fill, and that we are not overcrowding our current farms. We have already began to expand our staff in order to ensure that we can maintain quality as we grow. We have hired a new graphic designer, an app developer, a new showing coordinator, a legal assistant, and are still looking to hire more. We’re committed to your success, because your success is the key to our success!
I hope you all are with me in recognizing and celebrating the growth of our family; knowing that it is a testimony to our collective hunger and ability to actually execute. Let us take pride in our expansion and look for ways and appropriate times to continue to grow our business. None of our offices would survive without you – and that’s something we’ll never forget or ignore. Thank you for your excitement and support and let’s make the second half of 2015 our most successful quarters yet! I believe in our team and I know we can do it!!
