Rihanna Sues Over $6.9 Million Mansion

Rihanna is suing over her hillside mansion.

The four time Grammy winning pop singer is suing former owner of her Beverly Hills, Ca. mansion and everyone else involved in the purchase.

According to TMZ, Rihanna filed her lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court yesterday.  Rihanna’s complaint indicates she bought the Beverly Hills two story home two years ago for $6.9 million and at the time of the sale the seller conveyed to her that there weren’t any major problems with the home.

Rihanna is upset about the alleged faulty construction and the water leaks into several rooms of the house from a balcony that is not properly sloped and lacks the proper drainage.  A rainstorm in 2010 lead to rain leaking into the house and caused major damage.

The singer claims that the previous owner was aware of these problems and failed to disclose the defects.  Her lawsuit claims that if Rihanna was aware of the problems she would not have paid $6.9 million in 2009 for the property.

The unhappy homeowner is suing for several causes of action – fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, breach of contract, and breach of implied warranty.  The lawsuit claims that these defects devalue the home and that she over paid.  Rihanna wants some of her money back plus attorney’s fees.

TMZ reported that along with former owner Adrian Rudomin Rihanna’s lawsuit also names others including the property inspector, the engineers who worked on the house, and at least one of the real estate agents involved in the transaction.
