iPad Apps That Are Must Haves for Real Estate Professionals

Real Estate iPad apps that are must haves for real estate professionals that will make your jobs easier!

The real estate market is always changing and it can be hard to keep up.  One way to keep up with the changing times is getting to know the available technology out there and leveraging it in a way it can make your daily tasks just a little bit easier.

The iPad, for example, offers several apps that can be very useful in the real estate world.  Below is a list of some helpful apps that can simplify your job.

Keynote ($9.99)

For real estate professionals this is a must have.  Keynote can be compared to PowerPoint, but so much easier and more intuitive to use.  This app is a great tool to create simple and polished listing presentation.

If you are a devoted PowerPoint user and can’t make the switch then download Documents on the Go (also $9.99), this is the only app available to edit PowerPoint files.

Apple website description – “Exclusively designed for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, Keynote makes creating a world-class presentation — complete with animated charts and transitions — as simple as touching and tapping.  Use full-screen view to present right on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.  If you’re presenting to a large audience, connect your device to a projector or HDTV and preview your slides and notes using the presenter display.”

Open Home Pro (free)

This tool is excellent for open houses.  With this app you can simply enter in the details of the listing and you’re done.  Say good bye to open house registers.  Buyers can easily sign in with their name, email and any other relevant information.  If you want to add notes too you can!

Apple website description – “Open Home Pro offers you a beautiful way to collect information about potential clients that visit your open homes.  Within seconds you or your potential client can input their name, email address, number of bedrooms they are seeking and more.  Not only does Open Home Pro save all of the data in its address book (that you can export into a .csv file), but it also emails every client that gets put in the system thanking them for visiting personally from you.  If they reply to that email with additional questions it goes right to you.  This creates another touch point with every potential client that you talk with.”

Dropbox (free)

The Dropbox app makes storing, syncing, and sharing files online very easy.

Apple website description – “Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere.  After you install Dropbox on your computer, any file you save to your Dropbox will automatically save to all your computers, your iPhone and iPad and even the Dropbox website!  With the Dropbox app, you can take everything that matters to you on the go.  Read your docs or flip through your albums when you’re out and about.  Save photos or videos to your Dropbox and share them with friends in just a couple taps. Even if you accidentally leave your iPhone in a taxi, your stuff is always safe on Dropbox.”

GoodReader for iPad ($4.99), iAnnotate PDF ($9.99) and PDF Expert for iPad ($9.99)

These three apps allow you to annotate PDF’s in various ways.  You are able to edit text, move notes with your finger, draw, add a personalized signature, and much more.  iAnnotate PDF and PDF Expert for iPad support VGA-out, so you can share your work on the big screen if needed.

DocuSign (free)

This app is free and another must have.  You can send, track and sign documents from anyplace and anytime.  The app enables you to access document status in real-time.  You’ll know what is complete and what is not.

Apple website description – “DocuSign for iPhone and iPad uses the #1 electronic signature service to let you manage all of your document needs right from your iPad or iPhone.  More than just a ‘signature stamper,’ DocuSign for iPad and iPhone allows you to: SEND documents for signature from your iPad from Google, Box, or even from the camera on your iPhone or iPad.  TRACK the status of your documents in real time.  CHART your performance, and SIGN any document sent to you for signature through DocuSign.”

Penultimate ($0.99)

Sometimes you just want to scribble something down when you are out in the field and Penultimate allows you to do that.  You can conveniently and easily jot your thoughts down with your finger tip.

Apple website description – “The original, best-selling handwriting app for iPad now includes photo annotation. Penultimate gives you the fast, tactile gratification of writing on paper, with digital power and flexibility. Take notes, keep sketches, or share your next breakthrough idea — in the office, on the go, or home on the sofa.”

Analytics HD ($6.99)

Analytics HD connect to your Google Analytics account so that you can quickly access it and check the traffic on your website.  It’s also great for meeting with clients and you would like to show them how their listing pages are doing online.

Apple website description – “The premier app for Google Analytics, Analytics App, now debuts on the iPad as Analytics HD!  Only Analytics app for iPad with Segmentation!  See charts and reports like you’ve never seen them before, and share them in a meeting with full screen charts!  Analytics HD brings all your important stats in a simple and efficient interface, faster and easier than checking Google Analytics from your browser!”
